ORGANIC PROJECT
We have projects in cotton, dried raisins, dried figs and dried apricots. Fruits are grown on trees and vineyards, therefore there are no rotation of crops. In cotton growing, growers follow crop rotation where they plant cereals such as wheat, corn which we use in our flour mill and feed mill. All these agricultural part of organic production is run by sister company Kadioglu Tarim A.Ş.
We have our own projects in two cotton growing regions in Turkey and involve in all stages from the cotton with contracted farmers, all the way to the end product. We provide agricultural knowhow to our growers with agricultural engineers employed within our company and also finance them. It all starts from the soil. Plants are grown on these farmers' fields without use of any artificial fertilizers, insectisides, and herbicides. This enables the fields to clean away any past plantation residues.
Rotation of crops is employed to contribute on soil improvent. Hand picked cotton from our projects are rollerginned to keep fibres much less damaged than sawginning as well as minimizing the neps count in the fibre, thus in the yarns. Good spinning characteristics supported by long staple values, fine count yarns up to Ne 60’s can be spun.
All processes from fields through ginning, spinning, knitting or weaving, washing, dyeing and manufacturing the garments are done under strict supervision of our experienced colleagues and certified by a Dutch controlling and certifying organization Control Union.
